| Whether
you sing or play an instrument, have
time to make music regularly or just once in a blue
moon, we have something for you.
Our
Festival
Chorus (250 singers) offers a number
of workshops and high-quality performance opportunities
each season and provides a rewarding experience for
singers of all abilities. There are no auditions
and the time commitment is minimal: some preparation
in your own time at home, guided by a rehearsal CD,
then one or two intensive and highly enjoyable day or
weekend rehearsals culminating in an exciting concert.
The Chorus includes people from Nottingham and much
further afield, keen members of choral societies and
also people who cannot attend a weekly choir and find
the NCT Festival Chorus is the perfect way to keep in
touch with singing.

Our
Chamber
Choir is called the East of England
Singers (40 Members). They give an average of six concerts
per season in addition to performances by the NCT Festival
Chorus, of which they form part, providing
the semi-chorus for works which require one. Every
other year they go away on a May weekend concert tour
to a beautiful area of the UK.
Formed in
1985, this auditioned SATB choir has a busy concert
schedule, performing works across the full choral range
from Hildegard of Bingen to Richard Rodney Bennett.
Recent performances have included Bach Magnificat,
Monteverdi Vespers, John Tavener The World
is Burning and Bach's B minor Mass. All
have received critical acclaim for their dynamism and
beauty of sound.

Our
Instrumental
Workshop playing days are extremely
popular. They appeal to a wide range of players;
some participants are lapsed players wanting to get
back into making music, some are keen instrumentalists
trying out a second or third instrument and others have
recently taken up instrumental lessons for the first
time and are hungry for orchestral/ensemble experience

Daytime
Voices
Daytime
Voices started in 2006 with an informal singing group
in Wollaton. This now numbers over 70 singers.
Another successful group started in West Bridgford earlier
this year and we are now launching a third choir in
Southwell to enjoy sociable singing afternoons. The
music chosen varies from Baroque to Boogie, from Classics
to Swing! The membership fee includes all rehearsals,
a 'half-time' cup of tea or coffee (+ biscuits!) and
during the final session an informal concert for friends
and family.
If
you would like to join us then please contact the NCT
office on 0115 959 6484 or send us an email.
